Mark Hardy
Pastor – Music and Missions
I began my multi-phased life at a very early age in Nacogdoches, Tx. I decided to be born in Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital, as my mother was there, and I felt the need to be close to her at that time of my life. So began my growing up phase. After living in four different cities, and attending eight schools, I moved on to my young adult, poor as a church mouse phase. Bonnie and I were married for six years before our first child was born, and thus, the parenting phase, which by the way continues to this day. In 1978, I began a two-year starving-to-death phase that was necessary as we started our own business. From there I moved into my money-making phase, which lasted for eleven years. When I was done making money, I entered my wandering around, trying to find something to do phase, and spent most of the money. In 1998, I started my missionarying phase in southeastern Mexico, which lasted for two years. Actually, I’m still involved in missions work from here in Lubbock. Then, in 2000, I began my church staff phase, which is something I said I would never do after being a preacher’s kid for most of my life. But here I am, still in the middle of this phase of my life. Wonder what’s next?
